Silvia Santini is an associate professor of Structural Engineering at Roma Tre University, where she is the scientific director of the PRiSMa laboratory (Laboratory of Proof and Research on Structures and Materials) and a member of the Ph.D. Scientific Board of Architecture: Innovation and Cultural Heritage. She received a Ph.D. and postdoctoral grants, and was also a research fellow at the University of California in Berkeley. She is a member of the SIBERC and PhD College of Fujian University in China. She is active in the MAECI project San Salvador: Fortalecimeniento de la Secretaria de Cultura de la Presidencia de El Salvador a travès de la valorizacion del patrimonio cultural. She has collaborations with the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of Rome and DTC - Lazio Center of Excellence. Her research expertise is on seismic assessment and earthquake protection of existing buildings and infrastructures.
