Litao Sun received his Ph.D. from the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, in 2005. He has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Mainz, Mainz, Germany, and a Visiting Professorship at the University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France. He is currently a Distinguished Professor and Vice President at Southeast University, Nanjing, China. His current research interests include in situ experimentation inside the electron microscope; graphene and related 2-D materials; new phenomena from sub-10-nm nanoparticles; and applications of nanomaterials in the environment, energy, and nanoelectromechanical systems.
