Nijole Savickienė is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacognosy at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and CEO of the startup RamaZottius Lab. She graduated from the Kaunas University of Medicine and received her Ph.D. in Medical and Health Sciences. She also received training at the Balsgard Institute of Selection and Genetics of Plants (Sweden) and the Postgraduate Institute for Doctors and Pharmacists (Ukraine). She is a member of the Lithuanian Apitherapy Society and Endobiogeny and Integral Physiology Association. In her research, she deals with various biological activities of phenolics, proteins, and glycoproteins, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects in the field of periodontal diseases, diabetes, and carcinogenesis.
