Hosny El Adawy is an Associate Professor of Poultry Diseases at Kafrelsheikh University, Egypt. He is a Head of the National Reference Laboratory of Campylobacteriosis at Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, Jena, Germany. He obtained his Ph.D. from Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany, on “Thermophilic Campylobacter in the commercial turkey flocks in Germany”. He is currently coordinating different scientific works by postgraduate students in Pakistan, Vietnam, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, India, Uganda, and Kenya. He has published many articles in different scientific journals and contributed to several proceedings in different international scientific symposiums. He has published widely in the area of epidemiological studies, molecular diagnostic tools, and antibiotic resistance regarding poultry diseases and zoonotic and food-borne pathogens.
