Dr. Atanu Roy is an MSCA-CZ Postdoctoral Fellow at VSB–Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, specializing in sustainable energy storage technologies. Before joining at VSB-TUO, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. His research focuses on aqueous batteries, electrolyte engineering, interface-controlled electrodeposition, and 2D materials such as MXenes, graphene, LDHs. He earned his PhD from Jadavpur University, India, where he worked on metal oxide–carbon and conducting polymer–CNT composites for electrochemical energy storage and sensing. Dr. Roy has authored over 34 peer-reviewed publications and collaborates internationally with researchers in Europe, the United States, UK, Israel, and India. His long-term vision is to develop minimalist, recyclable battery architectures and integrate cutting-edge research with graduate and undergraduate teaching.
