Wentao Zhang received a Ph.D. degree in Optics from the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2008. He has been a Professor of Physics in the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, since 2015. He worked as an Assistant Researcher
from 2008 to 2010 and as an Associate Researcher from 2011 to 2014 in the Institute of Semiconductors,
Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is the co-author of more than 200 publications in journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include optical fiber sensor technology and its applications in the fields of oil, earthquake, marine, and structural health monitoring.
