Sebastian Budzan, D.Sc., is an assistant professor at the Department of Measurements and Control of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. He obtained his M.Sc. in 2002, Ph.D. in 2008 and D.Sc. in 2020. His research interests focus on feature extraction and object detection in 2D/3D computer and machine vision systems, including infrared imaging systems. His research finds application in ADAS systems, pedestrian detection, biometrics systems, robotics, machine diagnostics and industry. He is a member of the Association for Image Processing since 2015. He has served about 100 times as a reviewer for several international journals and international conferences.
