Maciej Gagat, Ph.D., D.Sc., is an associate professor at the Department of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Medicine, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and the Faculty of Medicine, Collegium Medicum, Mazovian Academy in Płock, Poland. He has 83 publications with 1011 citations and an h-index of 16 (Scopus, 19 December 2023). His scientific and research interests are cell biology, vascular biology, regenerative medicine, cancer biomarkers, and experimental orthopedy, especially in the area of cytoskeleton and cell–cell and cell–extracellular matrix interactions.
