Emilio Cervantes received his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Salamanca in 1986, and is now a scientist at IRNASA-CSIC. He worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at IBMRPM INRA-CNRS in Toulouse, France (1987-1988) and LBMPS, Geneva, Switzerland (1988-1991). In 1991, he moved to the University of Salamanca and was promoted to Assistant Professor. In 1997 he obtained a position of scientist at IRNASA-CSIC. His research topics mainly include seed morphology, shape models, J- index, and curvature.
