Prof. Stephen Morse is Chair of Systems Analysis for Sustainability at the Centre for Environment and Sustainability, University of Surrey. He joined the centre in August 2010 and was previously at the University of Reading and the University of East Anglia. He has a background in Applied Biology, receiving an MSc and a PhD from the University of Reading in 1979 and 1989, respectively. He also holds a PhD (1990) from the University of Southampton. His research and teaching interests span both the natural and social sciences. He has helped pioneer several participatory methodologies for sustainability assessments, including Triple Task, and has been involved in research and sustainable development projects across Europe, the Mediterranean,Africa, Central/Latin America, and Asia.
