Dr. Zhen Liu

Dr. Zhen Liu is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Civil Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University. He is currently serving as a Director of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, Secretary/Secretary-General of the Red Strata Engineering Branch, Executive Director of the Soft Rock Engineering and Deep Disaster Control Branch, and a Member of the Engineering Geology Professional Committee of the Chinese Geological Society. He is selected as one of the Guangdong Province’s Young Outstanding Talents in Science and Technology Innovation, one of the Guangzhou Pearl River Science and Technology Rising Stars, and a winner of the Nanshan Award. His research focuses on the disaster mechanism of special rock and soil, geotechnical test equipment and monitoring and early warning technology, engineering safety assurance intelligent platform, and engineering safety control system.
