Dr. Gabriela Lourdes Rueda-Morales received her B. S. degree in Physics and Mathematics, her M.S. degree and her Ph.D. degree in Science with a specialization in Physics from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Mexico City, Mexico, in 1993, 1996 and 2004, respectively. Since 1994, she has been working as a Researcher with the Escuela Superior de Física y Matemáticas (ESFM -IPN) of Mexico, Mexico City. She co-founded, among others, the Research Group in carbon nanostructurs (Nano C), dedicated to research the development of synthetic methods and technological applications of carbon nanostructurs and she collaborating with the Nanoscience and Micro Nanotechnology Network (RNMN-IPN). She is also part of the Solid State graduate programs in the Graduate Studies and Research Section of ESFM. Her research interests are the synthesis of carbon nanostructures and advanced composite materials and their applications. She is also a specialist in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
