Prof. Dr. Antonio Gilson Barbosa de Lima graduated in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Paraíba (1991) and has a full degree in physics from the State University of Paraíba (1990), a master in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Paraíba (1995), and a doctor in mechanical engineering from the State University of Campinas (1999). He is currently a full professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Center of Science and Technology at the Federal University of Campina Grande. He has experience in the area of mechanical engineering with emphasis on heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, applied mathematics, variational principles, and numerical methods and works mainly on the following topics: finite volumes, the drying and development of dryers, multiphase flow, and porous media.
