Donghoon Kang received his B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1998. He also received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from KAIST in 2000 and in 2004, respectively. He is currently a principal researcher in the Railroad Safety Research Team at Korea Railroad Research Institute. His research interests are structural health monitoring for various railway applications by using optical sensors, cure monitoring of composite materials and functionalized nanomaterials for applying infrastructures.
