Dr. Surjyakanta Rana obtained his Ph.D. in nanotechnology and material science from Utkal University, India, under the supervision of Prof. K.M. Parida. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. SB Jonnalagadda, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, from 2013 to 2017. Dr. Rana has excellent expertise and knowledge in nanotechnology, designing and developing new graphene oxide materials, and exploring their activity as catalysts in value-added organic conversions using green principles. Dr. Rana has over 50 research publications in journals of repute and a book chapter to his credit.
