Jian-Min Wang is a Professor at the College of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Shandong Agricultural University. He completed his PhD studies at Shanxi Agricultural University in 2007. In 2014, he was honored with the First Level Talent of Project 1512 at Shandong Agricultural University. In addition, Prof. Wang is the Chief Expert on the sheep industry technology system in Shandong Province, the Executive Director of the Genetic Marker Branch of the Chinese Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medical Association, and the Deputy Director of the Dairy Goat Specialized Committee of the China Dairy Association. His research interests include the conservation of sheep and goat genetic resources and germplasm innovation and utilization; breeding of new breeds (lines) of sheep; and the efficient production of supporting technology.
