S Priya Narayanan is an Associate Professor in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. She received her BS from the University of Kerala, Kerala in 1993, her MS from the University of Kerala, Trivandrum in 1995, and her Ph.D. from the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Indian Council for Agricultural Research, Karnal in 2000. Then, she became a Research Associate (Project) in Dairy Technology at NDRI (2001–2002), a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Neurosciences, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland (2003–2009), and a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Vascular Biology Center, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta (2009–2010). She is a member of The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the American Heart Association, the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), and a Life member of the Society of Biological Chemists (India). Her research areas are focused on mechanisms of neuro-vascular injury in retina, diabetic retinopathy and optic neuritis.

Short Biography
