Valeria Borsellino, PhD in Agricultural Economics and Policy, is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics and Rural Appraisal in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Forest Sciences, Università degli Studi di Palermo. She has been scientific collaborator of international researchers and of many research projects at a local or national level. Currently, she is WP leader within the project named PRIMA_2021 VALMEDALM. The results of her scientific work consist of 76 publications (36 articles in national and international journals; 25 book chapters; 12 conference proceedings; 2 conference abstracts; 1 monograph), which mainly concern topics related to the economics and policy of Mediterranean agricultural production (olive growing, citrus growing, viticulture, fruit growing, horticulture and nursery gardening), the EU’s Fishery economics and policies, the sustainable development of the wine sector, and the EU’s rural development policies. Her research has also addressed the Farming association and cooperation, University Educational provision, Historic gardens, Land Market, ICT and logistics of agro-food production, Web marketing, Business innovations and strategies, Consumer behaviour, and Agro-energy.
