Anastasios Koulaouzidis is a Professor of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark. He earned his M.D. degree from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1995. In 2004, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (U.K.) and was awarded a fellowship of the same college in 2013. Since 2009, he has been working as an Associate Specialist in Gastroenterology at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He was awarded a fellowship by the European Board of Gastroenterology in 2009 and the Royal Society for Public Health (U.K.) in 2013. He has received several grants, including the GivenImaging-ESGE Research grant in 2011, an Innovation Initiative-University of Edinburgh grant in 2011, and an ESGE Visiting Fellow postgraduate grant in 2010.
