He received his doctoral degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Korea University in 1995 and served as a senior researcher in the Future Technology Research Center at KIST until 2005. Afterwards, he was appointed as a professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Korea University, and has played a leading role in collaboration projects with technology companies such as Samsung Display and Samsung Electronics and in several national projects.
