Claudia Moscheni is an Associate Professor in the scientific disciplinary sector BIO/16—Human Anatomy at the School of Medicine, University of Mila. Claudia Moscheni obtained a Degree in Biology in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Morphology in 2005 at the University of Milan. Research areas include characterization of the expression of genes and proteins correlated with the mechanisms of extracellular matrix remodeling in different pathological conditions such as gingival hypertrophy and carcinogenesis; identification and application of morphometric models for the morphological characterization of liver cirrhosis, preneoplastic hepatic lesions, and hepatocellular carcinoma in cirrhosis; structural and quantitative analysis of mitochondria in skeletal muscle and in several tumor cells experimental models.
