Xiaojian Hu was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, in 1981. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Automation Engineering from the Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2003 and 2005, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in traffic engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, he was a Lecturer with the School of Transportation, Southeast University. Since 2015, he has been an Associate Professor with the School of Transportation, Southeast University. His research interests include traffic management, intelligent traffic control, traffic flow theory and traffic safety. He is the author of more than 10 articles, and more than 20 inventions.
