Aims: To examine the factors influencing compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction in obstetrics and gynaecology nurses and to explore the combined results of multiple factors.Design: An online cross‐sectional study was conducted.Review Methods: Data were collected from 311 nurses using a convenience sampling method from January to February 2022. Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis and mediation tests were performed. Results: Compassion fatigue in obstetrics and gynaecology nurses was in the moderate to high levels. Physical status, number of children, emotional labour, lack of professional efficacy, emotional exhaustion and the none‐only‐child can influence compassion fatigue; lack of professional efficacy, cynicism, social support, work experience, employment status and night shift were predictive of compassion satisfaction. Social support partially mediated between lack of professional efficacy and compassion fatigue/compassion satisfaction; emotional labour moderated in the mediated analysis model. Conclusion: Moderate to high levels of compassion fatigue was present in 75.88% of obstetrics and gynaecology nurses. Some factors affect compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction. Thus, nursing managers should consider factors and construct a monitoring system to reduce compassion fatigue and improve compassion satisfaction.Implications for the Profession: The results will provide a theoretical basis for improving job satisfaction and the quality of care in obstetrics and gynaecology nurses. And this may raise concerns about the occupational health of obstetrics and gynaecology nurses in China.Reporting Method: The study was reported according to the STROBE.Patient or Public Contribution: The nurses spent time filling out the questionnaires during the data collection phase and answered the questions sincerely. What does this article contribute to the wider global clinical community?: Obstetrics and gynaecology nurses with 4–16 years of experience are prone to experience compassion fatigue. The effect of lack of professional efficacy on compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction can be improved by social support. Relevance to Clinical Practice: Reducing nurse compassion fatigue and improving compassion satisfaction are important for providing quality nursing care to obstetrics and gynaecology patients. In addition, clarifying the influencing factors of compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction can improve nurses' work efficiency and job satisfaction, and provide theoretical guidance for managers to implement interventions.

In the current study, bioinformatics analysis of the hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) dataset was conducted with the hepatoprotective effect of the Fuzheng Huayu (FZHY) capsule against the diethylnitrosamine-induced HCC progression analyzed. Eight cell clusters were defined and tanshinone IIA, arachidonic acid, and quercetin, compounds of the FZHY capsule, inhibit HCC progression-related fibrosis by regulating the expression of PLAU and IGFBP3. Combined with the ameliorative effect of the FZHY capsule against liver dysfunctions and expression of PLAU and IGFBP3, our study confirmed the effect of the FZHY capsule on inhibiting the fibrosis-associated HCC progression via regulating the expression of PLAU and IGFBP3.

Batri-7 (BT-7) is a compound herbal remedy rooted in traditional Mongolian medicine (TMM), composed of seven medicinal plants. Historically, it has been prescribed to treat various gastrointestinal conditions, including chronic enteritis and ulcerative colitis. However, despite this long-standing use in managing inflammatory disorders of the gut, the preventive effects of BT-7 on colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CAC), as well as its underlying molecular mechanisms, remains incompletely elucidated. This study aimed to assess the therapeutic efficacy of BT-7 in an AOM/DSS-induced murine model of CAC, while also investigating its modulatory effects on systemic inflammation, intestinal barrier function, gut microbiota dynamics, and inflammation-related molecular signaling pathways. A chemically induced CAC model was established in C57BL/6 mice using azoxymethane (AOM) and dextran sodium sulfate (DSS). BT-7 was then administered orally at three dosage levels, and therapeutic outcomes were evaluated through a range of methods:clinical scoring, serum biochemical analysis, histological analysis, immunohistochemistry, and gut microbial profiling via 16S rRNA sequencing. To explore the underlying mechanistic pathways, with a particular focus on inflammasome regulation, transcriptome sequencing, quantitative PCR, and Western blotting were employed. BT-7 treatment was well-tolerated, with no evidence of liver or kidney toxicity. Mice receiving BT-7 exhibited improved body weight maintenance, lower disease activity scores, and preserved colon length. Histologically, there was substantial restoration of mucosal architecture and reduced epithelial hyperplasia, alongside significant suppression of tumor formation. Systemically, BT-7 reduced levels of key pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and KC/GRO) and enhanced intestinal barrier integrity, as evidenced by the elevation of Occludin and ZO-1. Additionally, BT-7 decreased the abundance of pro-inflammatory taxa, such as Bacteroidota, and enriched beneficial genera like Lactobacillus and Dubosiella. The increased relative abundance of Lactobacillus_johnsonii and decreased Lactobacillus _murinus highlighted the probiotic effects of BT-7. Functional pathway prediction revealed that BT-7's microbiota was enriched in pathways related to carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism, as well as digestive system and immune-related functions. Transcriptomic analysis revealed downregulation of inflammatory signaling, particularly within the NOD-like receptor pathway, with reduced NLRP3 expression at both mRNA and protein levels confirming this effect. This work demonstrates that BT-7 exerts protective effects against CAC by suppressing inflammation, improving epithelial integrity, and restoring microbial homeostasis. Mechanistically, the NLRP3 inflammasome is identified as BT-7's primary target in this context, which aligns with its traditional use in treating gastrointestinal disorders. Collectively, these findings highlight BT-7's therapeutic potential as a chemopreventive agent, supporting its utility in aiding inflammation-associated colorectal cancer treatment.

Background “Hand as Foot analogy teaching method” was proposed by the orthopedic team of the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University, and applied in orthopedic teaching, the teaching effect is remarkable. In view of the teaching characteristics of obstetrics and gynecology course, we applied analogy teaching method in clinical teaching. This teaching method can strengthen students’ understanding and memory of female reproductive anatomy, mechanism of labor and related diseases, and is favored by teachers and students. Methods Combined with PPT + props, the “Hand as Foot analogy teaching method” was used to teach key and difficult issues of obstetrics and gynecology, mainly aimed at undergraduates practicing in obstetrics and gynecology department of Inner Mongolia Peoples Hospital. Results “Hand as Foot analogy teaching method” contrasted human limbs with female reproductive anatomy, which is easier for students to understand and memorize, and is generally popular among medical students. Conclusions Based on the evolution of human beings, “Hand as Foot analogy teaching method” is an innovative and feasible clinical teaching method. The teaching method simplifies complex problems, visualizes abstract problems, and enables clinical medical students to get rid of boring and redundant medical knowledge learning process. On the one hand, “Hand as Foot analogy teaching method” makes up for the shortcomings of traditional multimedia teaching, on the other hand, it also shows its unique advantages. Besides, this teaching method has greatly improved clinical teaching effect, and it is worth promoting in the course of obstetrics and gynecology.
