Antonella Marino Gammazza is a biologist and she received her Ph.D. degree in Sciences of Physical Activities from the University of Palermo in 2009. She is Full Professor of Human Anatomy at the University of Palermo. She was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Malta in 2012 and at the University of Bologna in 2013 . She is member of the Società Italiana di Biologia Sperimentale and of the Società Italiana di Anatomia ed Istologia. She was the Head of the Department at the Istituto Euro-Mediterraneo di Scienza e Tecnologia. Her main research fields are Chaperonology and Chaperonopathies, Neuroscience, tissue engineering, Bioinformatics, and Anatomy. She is the author of more than 170 publications (H index 40) and 150 communications presented at international and national congresses.
