I am a researcher specializing in fungal taxonomy and ecology, with a strong focus on the classification and ecological characterization of fungi associated with wood and bamboo. My work encompasses fundamental studies of fungal diversity, systematics, and trophic strategies, as well as applied research on biodeterioration issues affecting wood and bamboo materials. Building on my expertise in fungal-wood interactions, I conduct extensive research aimed at improving the durability of timber through various wood modification technologies. This includes chemical treatments, thermal processes, and densification techniques. Recently, my efforts have concentrated on developing high-performance, long-lasting wood materials and understanding how wood-decay fungi respond to modified substrates. My interdisciplinary approach, which links fungal ecology with advanced wood protection methods, contributes to the development of sustainable and durable wood products. It also supports innovation in modern timber construction and material engineering.
