Professor Erdeng Du is the Chair of the Municipal Engineering Department at Changzhou University and a visiting scholar at Arizona State University in the United States. He is an expert consultant for legislative affairs in Changzhou City and the academic leader in the field of Municipal Engineering for the Master's program in Civil Engineering. In 2005, he received his Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University, and in 2010, he received his Doctorate in Municipal Engineering from Tongji University. He began working at Changzhou University in 2010 as a lecturer and associate professor. His research focuses on water quality assurance technology, emerging pollutants, and the mechanisms of dissolved organic matter (DOM) migration, transformation, and removal in environmental media and treatment processes. He has successfully led projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He's been a part of eight provincial and municipal research projects. He has published 19 academic papers as the first or corresponding author, including 8 SCI-indexed papers and 4 in EI (JA) journals. He has won two provincial-level awards: the Sinopec Science and Technology Progress First Prize and the First Prize for Innovation Achievements in Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation in China.
