Dr. Slavko Nikolov has currently been an assistant professor at the University of Forestry - Sofia in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Department of "Anatomy, Physiology and Animal Sciences" since the beginning of 2025. In 2024, he defended his dissertation at the Thracian University - Stara Zagora, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. Topic related to diseases in game birds raised on hunting farms. His scientific interests are related to avian pathology. The science of ornithology – classification, systematics and taxonomy of the class: Aves (Birds). For many years he has been engaged in breeding and reproduction of ornamental and exotic bird species. He is the author of numerous scientific publications, has participated in many international and national conferences, and university scientific projects. He often participates as a guest lecturer at various training seminars and veterinary forums - related to parasitic, infectious diseases or behavioral and reproductive disorders in birds.
