Vincenzo Quagliariello is an accomplished researcher who obtained his international PhD in Translational Medicine in 2015. His research focuses on the biochemistry and pathophysiology of cancer, with a particular emphasis on nanomedicine as a new tool for cancer diagnosis and therapy. Since 2016, Vincenzo Quagliariello has been studying the pathological characteristics of cardiotoxicity induced by anticancer drugs. He is interested in identifying cardioprotection strategies through drugs or new formulations, such as nanotechnologies. Vincenzo Quagliariello’s research specifically analyzes the inflammasome and the cardiac/vascular microenvironment and their role in cardiotoxicity phenomena. He is also interested in nutraceuticals, endocrine disruptors exposure, and the study of the main cardiovascular risk factors in cancer patients.
