Safak Dogan received a B.Sc. (honours) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1995, and an M.Sc. in Satellite Communications engineering and a PhD degree in Multimedia Communications Engineering, both from the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K., in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He is currently a Reader at the Institute for Digital Technologies, Loughborough University London. His research interests include digital media processing, communications, machine learning, and media quality evaluation.
