Founder, co-owner, and scientific director of Actinium Chemical Research srl, an independent chemical research laboratory located in Rome, Italy, and dedicated to scientific research and consultancy, dealing with research projects on specific chemical topics working together with the academy, private and public institutions, and, moreover, industry. In addition to the industrial research and academic research, I was also a lecturer at the 2nd University of Rome, and I am currently the ordinary Professor of Chemistry. 1999–2012: Adjunct professor of chemistry at Tor Vergata University in Rome (2nd University of Rome), teaching “Industrial Macromolecular Chemistry” and “Chemical Sensors”. 2012–2018: Habilitated Ordinary Professor of Chemistry teaching “General and Inorganic Chemistry” at Università degli Studi della Tuscia, Viterbo and Civitavecchia, Italy (not full time).. • I have published more than 484 original research papers in international, peer-reviewed journals of chemistry, and I am author and co-author of 52 patents. • I am the editor-in-chief of the international journal “Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Carbon Nanostructures”, edited by Taylor & Francis. • H-index = 45 in the ResearchGate website. • The research papers of Prof. Cataldo have totaled 8951 citations and 72098 reads, according to the ResearchGate website.
