Antonio Jiménez-Martín is Full Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence in the School of Computer Science (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM). He is currently the principal Investigator of the Decision Analysis and Statistics Research Group, a consolidated research group in the UPM from 1994; and Coordinator of the Spanish Group on MultiCriteria Decision Making (MCDM). He has also coordinated the SEIO working-group on MCDM and the MSc. in Artificial Intelligence (UPM, 2006-2021), and he was previously the Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence Department (UPM, 2016-2021). His research topics mainly include decision support systems, MCDM, group decision making and negotiation, metaheuristics-based optimization, machine learning, simulation methods, and risk analysis and management. He obtained the Spanish Royal Academy of Doctors Research Award 2003 (Experimental and Technological Sciences section) for his PhD thesis. He has published 32 research papers in journals listed in JCR, 22 book chapters with international publishers; and 49 proceedings at relevant international conferences. He is also the co-author of five books focused in operations research and simulation methods. He received the Best Academic Book Award 2004 from the Fundación General of the UPM.
