Andrei Kozlov, Ph.D., Dr. Sci., Chief of the Lab of Gene Neofunctionalization, the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics RAS, Director of The Biomedical Center, Chief of the Lab of Theoretical Biology, and Professor, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
In 1972, he graduated with honors from St. Petersburg State University (Department of Biochemistry). In 1975, he completed postgraduate studies at the N.N. Petrov Research Institute of Oncology and successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis.
Research interests include molecular biology, molecular virology, molecular epidemiology, and molecular and evolutionary oncology.
