He completed his PhD studies in Department of Medical Microbiology at İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa. Recently, he led several projects focusing on microbiology and parasitology. With a keen research interest, he has authored nearly 100 papers in reputable journals and actively contributes to various research projects. Dr. Sirekbasan is a member of the Turkish Microbiology Society and Turkish Parasitology Association.
