Biography
Maria Mendes is a postdoctoral researcher in Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, and an integrated researcher at the Coimbra Chemistry Centre (CQC/IMS). Her research focuses on translational nanomedicine, particularly the development of hybrid and lipid-based nanoparticles for brain-targeted drug delivery, with an emphasis on overcoming biological barriers and advancing nanocarrier systems toward preclinical validation.
