Dr. Pablo E. Vivas-Mejia is an associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry & Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. Dr. Vivas-Mejia’s research is focused on cancer. Specifically, his research program works to reveal the mechanisms through which cancer cells become resistant to chemotherapy, and additionally designs and tests interference RNA-based therapies for advanced cancers that are resistant to current chemotherapy regimens. Dr. Vivas-Mejia has expertise in the use of nanoparticles for drug delivery.
