Dr. Tuanwei Xu is an associate researcher at the State Key Laboratories of Transducer Technology, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the School of Physics, Nankai University in June 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Optical Information Science and Technology and from the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 2010 with a doctorate in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics. He was selected as part of the second batch of Guangdong Science and Technology Special Envoys in 2011 and promoted to associate researcher in 2013. Since 2005, he has been engaged in research on special fiber Bragg gratings, fiber lasers, and fiber sensing. His research interests include special fiber Bragg gratings, ultra-narrow linewidth fiber lasers, high-power fiber lasers, fiber hydrophone systems, distributed fiber acoustic sensing systems, and the application of fiber optic sensing technology in oil and gas mineral exploration, submarine hydroacoustic monitoring, perimeter security, and other fields.
