Kokoette Bassey holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Tshwane University of Technology). He is a senior lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Sefako Mokgatho Health Sciences University. His research focus is on (1) drug discovery from natural products—mainly on isolation of chemical compounds and structural elucidation; (2) structure–activity relationships via organic synthesis of biologically active molecules; (3) quality control of herbal medicines and related African complementary and alternative medicines through phytochemical fingerprinting and chemometric computations; (4) nanometallic-based drug delivery systems; and (5) drug discovery from computational chemistry and molecular docking.
