Beatriz Gonzalez Lopez-Valcarcel is a full professor of Quantitative Methods in Economics, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain). Her main research interest is Health Economics, specifically Human Resources for Health, health technologies, pharmaceuticals and public health economics, among others. She has been the leader of research projects of the Plan Nacional de I+D, the last entitled Public-private fit in health: quality, sustainability and changes in the Spanish model. She has been an international consultant in Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Chile, Uruguay and Mozambique. She has numerous scientific articles published in the Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, Health Economics Review, European Journal of Cancer, European Journal of Public Health, Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, Human Resources for Health, American Journal of Public Health, Heart and Value in Health, among other top journals. She has been a member of the advisory committee of the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare of Spain since March 2019.
