Esma Ismailova is an Associate Professor in the Department of Bioelectronics (BEL) at the Centre Microèlectronique de Provence of the Mines Saint - Etienne. She received a BSc. in Physics from the National University of Uzbekistan. She obtained a Master’s degree in Polymer Science at the University of Strasbourg where she completed in 2009 her PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Physics sponsored by STMicroelectronics. She received her HDR habilitation in Sciences for the engineer from the University Jean Monnet in 2018. Her current research combines novel organic electronic materials with innovative micro-manufacturing processes and structures aiming to develop versatile physiological sensors allowing a multimodal health data collection.
