Prof. Marouane Baslam is an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Science & Technology, Niigata University. He obtained a Master of Engineering and PhD degree in Biotechnology and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Navarra. His research interests include plant–microorganism interactions, microbial volatiles, crop biomass, climate change, crop adaptation, cellular and molecular biology, the golgi–plastid pathway, etc.
