Prof. Mohamed A. Khamsi is a Professor of Mathematics at Khalifa University. He completed his PhD study at the Pierre-and-Marie-Curie University in 1987. He then went on to visit the University of Southern California and the University of Rhode Island from 1987 to 1989. Since 1989, he has worked at the University of Texas at El Paso and as a full Professor of Mathematics from 1999 to 2015. His research interests include fixed-point theory, the geometry of Banach spaces and operator theory, discrete dynamical systems, and logic programming. In particular, he has made notable contributions to the fixed-point theory of metric spaces.
