Dr. Ana Luísa Teixeira is a junior researcher in the Molecular Oncology and Viral Pathology Group at the Portuguese Oncology Institute of the Porto Research Center (CI-IPOP). She obtained her B.Sc. in biology (2006/FCUP), M.Sc. in oncology (2009/ICBAS-UP), and Ph.D. in biomedical sciences (2014/ICBAS-UP) from the University of Porto. Her research area is focused on oncology, more specifically, the study of predictive molecular biomarkers (genetic and epigenetic) associated with tumor development and metastasis formation, which has culminated in the implementation and optimization of different laboratory techniques (molecular biology and cell culture) that have contributed to the scientific and technical growth of the group.
