Prof. Dr. Isao Ishii is a Professor at the Department of Health Chemistry, Showa Pharmaceutical University, Machida, Japan. He is responsible for the subjects “sulfur amino acid metabolism (homocysteine, H2S/polysufide, glutathione)” and “lysophospholipid (S1P and LPA) signaling”. His research areas are amino acid/lipid/glucose metabolism, bioactive small molecules (gases/lipids/amino acids), metabolomics/transcriptomics/proteomics, cell signaling, genetic disease modeling (using knockout mice), and PPAR X-ray crystallography.
