Professor Ahmed Hafaifa was born in Medjedel, Wilaya of M'Sila, Algeria, in 1974. He is a full professor of industrial process: automation/reliability and systems diagnostics at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Djelfa, Algeria. He has been the permanent Dean of the Science and Technology Faculty from April 2018 until the present day, after serving as the leader of the science and technology field for five years from October 2014. He received his habilitation to conduct research from the University of Sciences and Technologies Houari Boumediene (USTHB) Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science, Department of Instrumentation and Automation, in 2012, and he received his Ph.D. degree in Applied Automation and Signal Processing in 2010, his Master’s degree in Applied Automation and Control Systems in 2004, and his state engineer degree in Applied Automation in 2000 from the UMBB Boumerdes University, Algeria.
Currently, he is the director of the Applied Automation and Industrial Diagnostics Laboratory and the head of the Gas Turbines Joint Research Team at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Djelfa, where he is the founder of these research entities. He has initiated and supported several international research projects within the framework of collaboration and innovation activities with the industrial sector.
