Prof. Dr. Teresa Gagliano obtained her 5-year Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2005, followed by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology from the University of Ferrara in 2009. During her first PostDoc, she was awarded the European Society of Endocrinology "Young Investigator Award" in 2014, and the "Early Career Forum Award" from the Endocrine Society in 2015. To further improve her research, Teresa visited the University of Birmingham (2013) and the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO) in 2011. She then took a senior postdoctoral position at the University of Sussex (2016), followed by a senior scientist position at the University of Zurich (UZH). In 2020, Teresa became an Assistant Professor at the University of Udine and is now an Associate Professor there.
