The integration of solar interfacial evaporation and power generation offers a sustainable solution to address water and electricity scarcity. Although water‐power cogeneration schemes are proposed, the existing schemes lack scalability, flexibility, convenience, and stability. These limitations severely limit their future industrial applications. In this study, we prepared a hybrid fabric composed of basalt fibers and cotton yarns with asymmetric structure using textile weaving technology. The cotton yarn in lower layer of fabric facilitates water transport, while the basalt fibers in upper layer enable thermal localization and water supply balancing. The carbon black is deposited on top layer by flame burning to facilitate photothermal conversion. The fabric exhibits a high evaporation rate of 1.52 kg m−2 h−1, which is 3.6 times that of pure water, and an efficiency of 88.06% under 1 kW m−2 light intensity. After assembly with a thermoelectric module, the hybrid system achieves a maximum output power density of 66.73 mW m−2. By exploiting the scalability of fabric, large‐scale desalination and power production can be achieved in outdoor environments. This study demonstrates the seamless integration of fabric‐based solar evaporation and waste heat‐to‐energy technologies, thereby providing new avenues for the development of scalable and stable water‐power cogeneration systems.

The zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF−8)@polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofiber membrane was prepared and carbonized for heavy metal cadmium ion (Cd2+) adsorption in aqueous medium. Zinc oxide (ZnO) was first sputtered onto the surface of the PAN electrospun nanofiber membrane to provide a metal ion source. Then, the ZIF−8@PAN nanofiber membrane was prepared via in situ solvothermal reaction and carbonized in a tube furnace at 900 °C under a N2 atmosphere to enhance adsorption performance. The synthesized ZIF−8 particles with polyhedral structure were uniformly immobilized on the surface of the PAN electrospun nanofiber membrane. After being heated at 900 °C, the polygonal ZIF−8 shrank, and the carbonized ZIF−8@PAN nanofiber membrane was obtained. Compared with the nanofiber membrane without being carbonized, the adsorption capacity of the carbonized ZIF−8@PAN nanofiber membrane reached 102 mg L−1, and its Cd2+ adsorption efficiency could be more than 90% under the adsorption temperature of 35 °C and solution of pH = 7.5 conditions. According to the adsorption thermodynamics analysis, the Cd2+ adsorption process of the carbonized ZIF−8@PAN nanofiber membrane was spontaneous. The whole Cd2+ adsorption process was more suitably described by the pseudo second-order adsorption kinetics model, indicating that there exists a chemical adsorption mechanism besides physical adsorption.

A kind of magnetic poly (lactic acid) (PLA) melt blown nonwoven fabric (MB) was fabricated by the introduction of ferroferric oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles to improve its air filtration performances. In view of the poor compatibility of two components, the poly (L-lactic acid) (PLLA) molecular chains was firstly grafted onto the Fe3O4 nanoparticles surface via the ring opening polymerization (ROP). Then, PLA/Fe3O4-g-PLLA composite masterbatches with different mass ratios were prepared by melt-blending method and processed into the corresponding composite MB. The structures and performances of PLA/Fe3O4-g-PLLA composite masterbatches and their MB were investigated. The results showed that the addition of Fe3O4-g-PLLA nanohybrids hardly influenced the glass transition, cold crystallization and melting behaviors of the composite masterbatches. Though the melt fluidity of the composite masterbatches reduced with the Fe3O4-g-PLLA content increasing, the composite masterbatches still could present the appropriate processability in the range of 210°C to 230°C. Fe3O4-g-PLLA could be uniformly dispersed in PLA matrix and had a good interfacial compatibility with the matrix. Compared with pure PLA MB, the fiber surface of the composite MB became slightly rough, the pore size and distribution of the fiber web increased. The addition of Fe3O4-g-PLLA endowed PLA MB with magnetism. With the increasing of Fe3O4-g-PLLA content, the air permeability of the composite MB was improved and their filtration resistance obviously reduced. When the content of Fe3O4-g-PLLA was 0.5 wt%, the filtration efficiency of the composite MB reached the maximum. Moreover, the composite MB have higher longitudinal tensile strength and elongation at break than those of pure PLA MB.

The properties of fibers were significantly affected by drawing during the spunbond process. In this paper, the influence of drawing pressure on the properties of spunbonded PET/PA6 hollow pie wedge bicomponent filaments was studied, and their performance was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Beion F6 fiber fineness tester, and single fiber strength tester. The hollow pie wedge bicomponent fiber had a distinct interface between the two polymers due to poor compatibility. With increasing of drawing pressure, diameter of the fibers reduced regularly. When the drawing pressure increased, both the degree of crystallinity and orientation of bicomponent fibers enhanced, and the melting point of polyester component increased as well. Furthermore, with increasing of drawing pressure, the breaking strength of the fibers increased, but the breaking elongation and linear density decreased.
