Carlotta Perucca Orfei received her master's degree in Pharmacy in 2013 and her doctoral degree (PhD) in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017, both at the University of Pavia, Italy. Since 2014, she has been a researcher at the Orthopaedic Biotechnology Laboratory and is involved in several research projects concerning mesenchymal stem/stromal cell-based therapy and delivery in the orthopedic field. In 2016, she was a visiting PhD student at the Andalusian Centre of Nanomedicine and Biotechnology-BIONAND under the supervision of Dr. Leonor Santos-Ruiz. Currently, her main interest as a post-doc researcher is the development of innovative therapeutic approaches for tendon healing.
