Aiming at the slow movement speed of materials in the loading chute and the asymmetry of material accumulation in the carriage, this paper adopts the Discrete Element Method (DEM) to dynamically simulate the movement and accumulation process of materials in the on-site loading chute. The loading chute is redesigned and improved, and the modified structure is simulated. The improved chute structure not only significantly increases the movement speed of materials in the chute but also ensures the axial symmetry of material accumulation in the carriage. The use of DEM discrete element simulation analysis ensures the reliable, economical, and stable operation of material loading and unloading in the loading station chute.

The cut-off diameter and pressure loss of the cyclone separator were calculated using the empirical formulas of the Barth model, the equilibrium orbit model, and the Casal model. Meanwhile, the gas-solid two-phase flow field in the cyclone separator was simulated with computational fluid dynamics software using the Reynolds stress turbulence model. The separation efficiency and pressure drop of the cyclone separator were analyzed, and the simulation results were compared with the theoretical calculation data. The results show that the cut size of the separator obtained by theoretical model calculation is 7 μm, which is basically consistent with the simulation result of 6 μm. Therefore, empirical formulas can be used for the preliminary design of the cyclone separator structure, providing data support for the simulation calculation.
