Dr. Saskia D. Keesstra is a Senior Researcher with the Soil, Water, and Land Use Team at Wageningen  Environmental Research, Wageningen University and Research. She completed her MSc studies in Quaternary Geology and MSc in Hydrology (Earth Sciences) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 1999 and PhD studies in Hydrology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2006. She has published 152 ISI research and opinion papers. Her research interests include geography, geology, hydrology, land degradation, erosion, physical geography, sustainable land use, systems analysis, geomorphology, and geographical information systems.
