Prof. Patrice Forget, Ph.D., has worked as Clinical Professor in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine in Belgium, and as President of the Belgian Pain Society. His career experience includes time as a professor at the University Hospital Brussels from October 2016 to August 2019 and chairman at the Division of Applied Health Sciences United Kingdom, University of Aberdeen, from September 2019 to the present. He is involved in clinical research, focusing on mainly pain, perioperative epidemiology, and clinical pharmacology. In addition, he has served as a member of the Board Member of the European Pain Federation EFIC (Honorary Treasurer, Chair of the Societal Impact of Pain partnership with the Pain Alliance Europe) and is an active member of the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology, Acute and Chronic Pain Subcommittee member, and past president of the Belgian Pain Society.
